2010 Tomato Recipe Cook-off Winners
Contestants in the TomatoFest Recipe Cookoff, held in the kitchen of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County,
prepared a variety of dishes featuring fresh tomatoes as a major ingredient. A panel of tasters judged the recipes prepared
by the 5 finalists. All finalists received a gift basket featuring Pampered Chef cooking equipment.
The winners in the Cookoff are:
1st: Melissa Gentilcore (Auburn) — for Pasta with Tomatoes, Roasted Red Peppers
2nd: Elizabeth Koenig (Owasco) — for Green Tomato Apple Pie
3rd: Jason Wittwer (Auburn) — for Warm Tri-Color Pasta and Tomato Salad
Special thanks to the following local businesses for donating prizes for the winning contestants:
